Here is this week's image from Designed2Delight. Thankfully, the weather is actually starting to feel a bit like autumn!

My first E2 card

I received my E2 on Thursday and have been trying to learn how to use it - I feel like a Cricut novice! It does seem to work well though, and I just need to rewatch some videos to figure some things out. Anyway, this card is the sample project in the Just a Note handbook (the cart is preloaded on the machine), so that's what I started with. It took me awhile, and the directions have an error in them, but here it is. Entering in this weekend's NSSS crop/challenge.

Falloween Cat

This week the image, Falloween Cat, is free at Designed2Delight. Create a card with the image, link it up, and receive another free digital image in your email on Friday morning. I love the cute images, and it's a great way to build up my stash of digital images and cards. I kept this card super simple as it will likely go to my son who is leaving for college in 2 weeks. Who knows how he'll feel about receiving silly cards from mom in the mail?!

Maisie Belle

This week's Designed2Delight image is "Maisie Belle", this cute little back to school girl. Not sure who I'll give this card to - my little girl is 15 and has already started her sophomore year in high school!

Every Flower

I missed out on entering last week's image challenge for Designed2Delight; was on a wonderful family vacation in northern Michigan. Now it's back to reality and back to school. I purchased this week's image so I could get back to playing this month.

I'm sad I didn't get to complete this in time for last week's Designed2Delight
challenge, but glad that this week's challenge is Anything Goes. So I could still use this snowman image...AND get a jump on my christmas cards!

Peacock Beauty

Another fun challenging image from Designed2Delight. My biggest challenge was finding the time to get this image colored and a card made - as this week, our family acquired a new puppy - it's tough to escape into my room to get something made. I added some shimmer to this image with Creative Inspiration paints and a gletter pen - I know my pictures usually aren't very good and don't show the details well.

NSSS Think Summer Challenges

Since I'm not eligible to win any prizes, I thought I"d share some projects I've worked on over the past week. I have actually been trying to try out some new techniques - with inks, etc. Thanks for looking!

NSSS Think Summer Challenges

Here are two LO's that definitely don't fit into any of our challenge categories! I'm one of those chronological scrappers, and I happen to be on Christmas 2009. It could technically fit into the "dust off your Cricut" challenge. I used cuts on here that I haven't used before - from Christmas Soloutions and JOTS.

Summer Days

"Delft tile"

I found this technique on fb this morning, posted by Splitcoast Stampers, and thought I'd give it a try. Little did I know I'd have to take a trip to Joanne's to buy a background stamp! This one isn't quite right for the technique, but I'll use the stamp set for other things, I'm sure.

"50 Sucks"

Here's my completed "bouquet", suckers and all. Easter grass - what a mess!

NSSS challenge #3 - use a 6" cricut cut. This ladybug is 6"wide, not tall, but I thought the hosts might like it posted here instead of the anything goes  category if possible.

NSSS challenge #4 - Anything goes

NSSS challenge #6 - altered item - This is for a friend's 50th birthday party next weekend. I don't want to add the suckers until closer to then; I'll also cover any open areas on top with Easter grass.

NSSS Challenge #3 - Use a cricut cut at least 6 inches

NSSS challenge #7 - A square card with a spring theme. I thought a rose was maybe pushing it for spring, but Amy says that in Texas it gets so hot so early that her roses get confused and bloom!

I was inspired by Kendra to try this technique. The rose is stamped and embossed in white on vellum. she colored hers with paints; I had to use markers as I didn't have large enough areas to paint in.Hmmm...maybe I don't have enough stamps?!
