Sending Hugs

 Hi Artzy friends -

I think most of us could use a hug these days so I am sending a big one to all of my Artzy friends this week on the Dare 2B Artzy blog.

My image and sentiment on this easel card are from the Embrace stamp set. I cut the colored image and the teal frame using dies from the Double Dot Circle Framelits set. I adhered 3 or 4 layers of my circle frame together to add dimension.

I adhered this pretty floral paper from the Merry & Bright collection to the front and the inside of my easel card. It is definitely not just for holiday cards!

I matted and popped up my sentiment on the inside panel of my card to serve as a "stand" for my card front.

Check out all of the stamps and dies in the new Girl Power collection. And don't forget to pair them with some of the beautiful floral papers from the Merry & Bright and other past Artzy paper collections!

Our challenge on the blog this month is Anything Goes! Link up your projects here for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the store!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Anything Goes Split Circles

 Hi Artzy friends -

This month's challenge on the Dare 2B Artzy blog is Anything Goes.

Today I am sharing the "companion cards" to the Split Circle technique cards I shared on Thursday.

I used the other halves of the circle elements I created using paper from the Make Waves collection to create this slimline card.

I added a seahorse, cut out of the same paper collection, using the Seahorse dies, and stamped  the sentiment from the Seahorse stamp set.

I also created this A2 card.

This happy birthday sentiment is from the Scandinavian Songbird stamp set.

I hope you'll join the Anything Goes challenge on the Dare 2B Artzy blog this month! Link up your project for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Dare 2B Artzy store!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Split Circles

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today's cards feature some of the pretty papers in one of the newest collections from Dare 2B Artzy, and a fun technique I recently learned from Splitcoast Stampers and Lydia Fiedler.

The papers I used are all from the Make Waves collection. Even the jellyfish are cut from the paper with the Jellyfish die set. One very cool feature about many Dare 2B Artzy products is that the dies cut the images from the coordinating stamp set , as well as from the paper! It's such a great option when you want to make a quick card, and/or don't want to do a lot of coloring!

The technique I used for these cards is called the Split Circle technique. You get semicircle parts to make two cards using this technique. You can see the other two cards I created on my next blog post!

The first time I tried it, I didn't exactly follow the directions. I went a little rogue and ended up having to use my semicircles for slimline cards. Let's just call it a "happy accident!"

For my next card I created an A2 card, by more carefully following the directions in the tutorial. I really like both options and think they create endless possibilities by choosing different patterns and colors of papers.

The sentiments I used for both cards are from the Sea Horses stamp set. I think it's great that all of the sentiments can pair with any of the images in the collection!

I hope you love the colors and patterns in this collection as much as I do!

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
