Blooming Square Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today's card uses a variety of products from the newest Dare 2B Artzy release. I love combining elements from many sets on my projects!

I chose to make a square card, 5" x 5". Did you know that mailing a square card does not require additional postage as long as it's mailed in a standard size (not square) envelope (in this case 5" x 7"?) 

My card base and my periwinkle layer were cut with my trimmer and I used a corner rounder to clip the corners so it would match my patterned paper layer, from the Countryside Floral collection, which I cut using the largest die in the Square Framelit dies set. I cut a variety of stitched shapes using dies from the Horizontal Step dies set.

My die cut leaf element was cut with the leafy die from the Nature Layer Dies set. I cut it from white cardstock and ink blended it in green and splattered it with white paint. I cut and layered the die a few times to build up some dimension. 

I stamped, colored and die cut the flower and leaf images with stamps from Beauty of Nature and Singin' in the Rain. My sentiment is from Wildflower Garden.

I find that I can get much more use out of my stamps and dies when I combine them together, especially if they're from the same collection!
