Step Panel Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

A step panel card is a 3D fun fold that is simple to create but it packs a big punch when created with beautiful patterned papers. The other cool thing about it is that it folds flat to fit in an A2 envelope (You could make it in other sizes as well.) and stands up nicely on display. 

Here are the dimensions I used for this card:

1 - Start with card base cut to 11" x 4 1/4" and score at 1/2, 2" 4", and 5 1/2"

2 - Cut 2nd panel to  3" x 5 1/2" and score at 1/2" and 2"

3 - Adhere patterned paper to each section as desired.

4 - Assemble panels and embellish.

I decorated my card with papers from the Everything is Blooming collection.

My large floral image is from the Breezy Blossoms stamp and die sets, and is colored in using the coordinating Breezy Blossoms stencil. The sunflower image is from the the Potted Posies stamp and dies sets; and the sentiment is from the Love Grows stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on a banner from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies, and I added little heart embellishment from the Groovy Party Enamel Stickers.

Thankful for My Friends

Hi Artzy friends - 

Today I combined several different Dare 2B Artzy products to create a quick card for a friend.

I am fairly new to hot foiling but I love using Dare 2B Artzy hot foil plates for backgrounds on any type of card. The one I used here is called Artzy Deco. I used a matte gold foil to create this background.

The flower vases and butterfly are cut from the pretty Potted Posies paper using dies from the Potted Posies and Love Grows  die sets. Both of these die sets also cut out the images from their respective stamp sets.

I applied versamark and gold embossing powder to a scrap piece of white cardstock. I cut the word thankful out of my gold heat embossed paper with a die from Grateful Layered Word Dies. The For Our Friendship sentiment is a stamp in the Grateful stamp set. All of the patterned paper I used is cut from Field of Hope, which is part of the Everything is Blooming collection.

I love all the ways you can add shine to make a simple card stand out!

Dare 2B Artzy Instagram Hop

I created two cards with the new Potted Posies stamp and die sets.

Both cards also feature paper from the new Everything is Blooming collection.

My first card is an A2 size. I have no idea what this fold is called but I received a card folded similarly from a friend and I had to try it! It's simple to create but I thought it was unique; and it provides a great opportunity for layering with the beautiful new papers! I used a die from the  Rectangle Framelits to pop my image up onto. The "happiness" sentiment is also from Potted Posies.

My second card is a mini slimline card. I used the dies from the Slim Mini Flower Patch die set to cut my layers for this 6" x 3 1/4" card. The "thank you" is another sentiment included in the Potted Posies stamp set.
