Artzy Clubhouse - February 2024

 Hi Artzy friends -

The Clubhouse set for February is called Spring Chicken, and it's got lots of adorable images and a great variety of sentiments.

Additional products used for my card are the Slim Mini Flower Patch dies, the slider channel from the Wavy Slimline Border dies, a sentiment stamp from Simply Birthdays, and banner die from Slim Mini Wavy Layers.

Watch how this chick slides over to present his chick friend a bunch of spring daisies for her birthday!

These stamps and dies will be available soon in the Dare 2B Artzy store, and I look forward to sharing more cute card ideas using these chicks!

Step Panel Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

A step panel card is a 3D fun fold that is simple to create but it packs a big punch when created with beautiful patterned papers. The other cool thing about it is that it folds flat to fit in an A2 envelope (You could make it in other sizes as well.) and stands up nicely on display. 

Here are the dimensions I used for this card:

1 - Start with card base cut to 11" x 4 1/4" and score at 1/2, 2" 4", and 5 1/2"

2 - Cut 2nd panel to  3" x 5 1/2" and score at 1/2" and 2"

3 - Adhere patterned paper to each section as desired.

4 - Assemble panels and embellish.

I decorated my card with papers from the Everything is Blooming collection.

My large floral image is from the Breezy Blossoms stamp and die sets, and is colored in using the coordinating Breezy Blossoms stencil. The sunflower image is from the the Potted Posies stamp and dies sets; and the sentiment is from the Love Grows stamp set. I stamped the sentiment on a banner from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies, and I added little heart embellishment from the Groovy Party Enamel Stickers.

Happy New Year!

It's a new year, a new month, and a new Dare 2B Artzy challenge!

This month's challenge theme is Winter Fun and we have many winter themed stamps and dies to inspire you!

I used this adorable tobogganing snowmen image on my mini slimline card. Don't they look like they're having Winter Fun?! And they're also wishing you all a very happy 2023!

It's Sweater Weather!

 Hi Artzy friends -

It's October in Ohio and you know what that means? Well, neither do I - it could be so sunny and warm that you can go out in your t-shirt, or it could be so chilly that you're wondering where you packed away your hat and gloves last spring! 

One thing is for certain - there are sure to be at least some days that you feel the need to pull out a cozy sweater and sit by the fire! I don't think you'll find any penguins sitting by the fire, but you may see some wearing sweaters!

This card features an image from Penguin Fun, a super cute stamp set from a few years back.

I cut this little guy with a square die from the Square Framelit die set and mounted them on lanes from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set.

The heat embossed sentiment is from the same stamp set and the banner is also cut with a die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers. I am always a little nervous that I will be able to line my die up properly to  create a shorter banner but this was super easy to do! The dots around the border help to line the die up perfectly when cutting the 2nd edge.

The wavy background layer is cut from paper in the Snow Much Fun collection.

Christmas in July

Love Under the Sea

Hi Artzy friends -

For my pre Valentine's Day card, I thought I'd use some new Dare 2B Artzy products, along with some older products, to create a mini slim love themed card. I think this card will be going to my husband, either for Valentine's Day, or our anniversary.

I started by creating my card base and cutting the two panels for my card front with the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies. My wavy edged panel, cut out of paper from the Make Waves collection, seemed perfect to me for an under the sea card.

I stamped, colored, and diecut two of the jellyfish from the new Jellyfish stamps and die sets, and popped them up on either side of my die cut "love you" cut with the Love You Double Layered Word die.

The sentiment inside my card is from the Seahorses stamp set, another new set in the Make Waves collection of products. I cut rectangular panels with the Rectangle Framelits dies.

To complete my project I created an envelope to coordinate with my card out of papers from the Make Waves collection, using the Slim Mini Envelope dies.

I love how fun and easy it is to create a coordinating envelope for my mini slimline cards!

Still Celebrating

Hi Artzy friends -

Although I don't love winter weather, I enjoy making winter cards that aren't necessarily for the holidays well into the new year. Today's card would be perfect for a winter birthday, or any other occasion! It would also make a perfect happy new year card!

The adorable little penguins, along with their balloons and champagne are from the Just Chillin' stamps and dies. 

I cut the slim mini background with a die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers set, out of paper from the North Pole Holidays collection.

The "cheers" sentiment is stamped and cut from the A Single Greeting stamps and dies.

Yeti for Christmas!

 Hi Artzy friends -

December is here and so are the snowflakes and the holiday season!

Today I am sharing a mini slimline card that would be perfect to send to your friends to get them in the mood for a white Christmas!

This tangled-up-in-lights yeti is from the Yeti 4 Winter stamps and dies set. The icy blue trees are from the Deck the Halls and Joy to the World stamps and dies sets. 

I cut a curvy edge onto a panel of snowy background paper from the North Pole Holidays paper collection with a die from the Wavy Slimline Borders. I then adhered it onto a strip of whit cardstock and cut my background with the largest die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies, creating a dotted edge all around my card front. 

I then stamped Merry Christmas with a stamp from the Toboggan Fun stamp set, and adhered my card front onto a mini slimline size card base. I added my yeti and trees to complete this wintery holiday card.

You Make My Heart Sing

 Hi Artzy friends-

Today I have a slimline card to share using some of Dare 2B Artzy's newest products, that can be used all year round.

This card features the Joyful Robin stamps and dies as well as paper from the Merry and Bright collection.

The sentiment used here is also from Joyful Robin.

Other products used on this card include the Slimline Love Framelit dies, as well as Slim Mini Wavy Layers ( sentiment banner), Reindeer Games (music notes), and Bear Hugs (hearts).

I think this card would be perfect to give to a loved one, for any occasion, or just because!

Shaped Birthday Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

For today's post I created a birthday card using the Oval Scalloped framelits, along with some new images and papers.

To create this shaped card, I folded a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  cardstock in half. Then I cut my card base with the largest the oval scalloped dies (which is 5 3/8" x 4"), arranging the die hanging over the folded edge a bit, so it wouldn't cut out the complete oval. I then cut another of the largest oval out of teal cardstock, and attached it the front of card, hiding the "flat" top edge of the oval.

I colored and die cut my birdie image from the Scandinavian Songbird stamps and dies, and stamped a sentiment from the set onto a sentiment banner cut with a die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies. I cut the next smaller size scalloped oval out of paper from the Merry and Bright collection, which includes beautiful seasonal patterns as well as year round florals and other patterns.

I completed my card by add another sentiment banner to the inside, finishing off the sentiment, and added a flower from the Joyful Robin stamp and die sets.  

The images and sentiments in the Scandinavian Songbird and Joyful Robin sets mix and match perfectly, and coordinate beautifully with the Merry and Bright paper collection!

Creating shaped cards using framelit dies is so fun and easy, yet makes a big impact! And this one fits in a standard A2 envelope for easy mailing!

BFF Birds

Hi Artzy friends -

I love how some of the new stamps and dies sets from Dare 2B Artzy coordinate so well together. I also love how, just by changing the sentiment, the images lend themselves to cards for so many occasions!

These birds are from the new Scandinavian Songbird and Joyful Robin sets. 

Check out all of the sentiments included in these two sets!

My birds are sitting on a Slim Mini Flower Patch die background, and the light blue layer is cut from a die in the Slim Mini Wavy Layers set. The sentiment strip is from the Wavy Slimline Framelits die set.

I created this card using the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies to cut my background layer. 

I cut my snowflake border out of silver glitter paper using the Slimline snowflake dies. I love the versatility of a slimline die that can be used on any size card! 

The sentiment is heat embossed in silver with a stamp from the Toboggan Fun stamp set.

This is a simple card but I think it makes a big impact. And it would be an easy one to mass produce for your holiday cards!

It's Summertime!

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today I have a summery card, filled with two of my favorite summertime features -  flowers and ice cream!

I created the striped background of my shaker and the first layer of the card with Sweetmobile paper. The stitched pink ice cream layer was cut from Sprinkle on Top paper, using a die from the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies. 

The front of the shaker was cut with the new Slim Mini Flower Patch die. I filled my shaker with lots of pastel colored sequins, and colored an ice cream cone from the Turtley Awesome stamps and dies. 

My sentiment was from the same stamp set. The little tag die is the smallest die in the new Rectangle Framelits die set. I love that little "something extra" in this set, and I love that the rectangles all have stitching on the inside and at the outside of the shape.

I created a matching envelope with the new Slim Mini Envelope dies, using the same papers from the Ice Cream Social collection.

Bee Sweet!

Hi Artzy friends -

The card I have to share with you today would be appropriate to give to anyone, for any occasion! I may even give it to my husband for Father's Day!

This adorable slim mini card was easy to create with the new Dare 2B Artzy Slim Mini Wavy Layers die set. I used the two largest layers, the straight panel and the wavy layer, plus the great sentiment banner, all of which include the great dotted details. 

The cute bees were added from the Buzzy Beez stamp and die sets. They're quick and easy to color by just adding the yellow stripes and some pink cheeks, plus some shimmer to the wings. 

The sentiment is from the Cup of Cheer stamp set. Don't you love when you find the perfect sentiment for your project in an unexpected place?!

Have a Sweet Day

 Hi Artzy friends -

I created this fun "surprise inside" card for a very special friend. I hope she likes it, and I hope you do too!

This yummy shake image (as well as an image you'll see on the inside), and the sentiments are from the new Dare 2B Artzy Be Frappe stamps and dies. (The dies also cut the images in the new Latte Love stamp set.)  Of course it could be a frappe, an iced or hot coffee, or whatever beverage your prefer! The sentiment strips were cut with  a die from the Wavy Slimline Framelit dies. 

When the card is opened, the image, framed in a pretty yellow frame, pops out, and another yummy treat is revealed inside. 

It's so fun to stamp your choice of sprinkles on top of the doughnut!

The sentiment strips on the inside of the card are cut from smallest layer in the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies.

The patterned papers used on this card are from the fresh springy Home Grown Collection.

Triangle Gatefold, Two Ways

 Hi Artzy friends -

Did you know that Cindy Sartain goes live on Facebook on the Dare 2B Artzy page almost every Monday at 7:30 p.m. Central Time? Her video is always full of great inspiration and tips (and sometimes sneak peeks) using fabulous Dare 2B Artzy products! 

If you watched on May 3rd, you saw her share how she makes triangle gatefold cards; and she shared the written dimensions and assembly directions in the Artzy Community Facebook group. Request to join the group if you are not already a member. You can find the measurements in the files. 

Because I love trying new-to-me fun folds, I created two triangle gatefold cards - a slimline version, and a mini-slim version. 

My slimline card features images from the Seas the Day stamps and dies sets, as well as paper from the Seas the Day collection. 

On the inside I adhered the white dotted rectangle and the sentiment strip from the Wavy Slimline Framelits die set.

I created a belly band to hold the card closed, mounting my octopus and stamping my sentiment on two diecuts from the Wavy Squares Framelits.

My mini-slim card features images from the Crafty Gnome stamp and die sets, and paper from the All the Buzz collection. 

On the inside I used the new Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies to cut the two layers on which my sentiment and additional images are displayed. 

I created a belly band for this card as well, again using the Wavy Squares Framelits for my main image and greeting. 

I also created my own matching slim-mini envelope with papers from the All the Buzz collection, using Dare 2B Artzy's brand new Slim-Mini Envelope dies! 

Don't you love presenting a card/gift that's all color coordinated?!
