Silver Bells

 Hi Artzy friends -

Happy November! The time has come to get to work on holiday cards, and today I have a slimline Christmas card to share using some pretty Dare 2B Artzy products.

The Joy to the World stamps and dies are great to use for relatively quick cards as these pretty images require no coloring! They can be stamped with any colored inks you may have, but I chose to heat emboss my bells with silver embossing powder. I love to emboss 2 or even 3 times to create a really dimensional metallic look, like I did here. My sentiment was also embossed in silver.

I also popped my bells up with fun foam, cutting the foam with the coordinating die. I wish you could see the dimension!

The other dies I used to create this card were from the Rectangle Slimline Framelit dies and the Wavy Squares Framelit dies. 

The background paper is from the Merry and Bright collection.

Joyful Robin

Hi Artzy friends - 

Today's card features an image from the new Joyful Robin stamps and dies, as well as a really unique background die.

These beautiful images and sentiments can be used for many different occasions, all year long.

I cut the background die, called Circle Background, out of rose gold mirror cardstock, and it cut beautifully. Full disclosure - I don't own this die, but had borrowed it when it was first released (It was so popular that it was sold out.) and thought it would look pretty cut out of this mirror cardstock. I loved it so much that I've had it sitting on my desk, waiting for the perfect card to use it on! 

I backed the diecut with green cardstock on which I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink. I embossed it with rose gold embossing powder which turned out to be a pretty good match, and fits perfectly in the round space cut by the die. 

The panel was then mounted on navy blue cardstock, which I though really made the whole thing pop. 

I just love how the background shines, and really showcases the beautiful joyful bird!

Shaped Birthday Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

For today's post I created a birthday card using the Oval Scalloped framelits, along with some new images and papers.

To create this shaped card, I folded a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"  cardstock in half. Then I cut my card base with the largest the oval scalloped dies (which is 5 3/8" x 4"), arranging the die hanging over the folded edge a bit, so it wouldn't cut out the complete oval. I then cut another of the largest oval out of teal cardstock, and attached it the front of card, hiding the "flat" top edge of the oval.

I colored and die cut my birdie image from the Scandinavian Songbird stamps and dies, and stamped a sentiment from the set onto a sentiment banner cut with a die from the Slim Mini Wavy Layers dies. I cut the next smaller size scalloped oval out of paper from the Merry and Bright collection, which includes beautiful seasonal patterns as well as year round florals and other patterns.

I completed my card by add another sentiment banner to the inside, finishing off the sentiment, and added a flower from the Joyful Robin stamp and die sets.  

The images and sentiments in the Scandinavian Songbird and Joyful Robin sets mix and match perfectly, and coordinate beautifully with the Merry and Bright paper collection!

Creating shaped cards using framelit dies is so fun and easy, yet makes a big impact! And this one fits in a standard A2 envelope for easy mailing!

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

 Welcome back, stamping friends -

Today I am sharing another Unity Stamp Company project as part of a Growing in Unity blog hop.

This stamp,  called Funky Flowers, is big and bold, and fills up an entire slimline card front! I love that! I also love that you can use just portions of the stamp on other sizes, including mini slimline or A2. I'll be trying that soon!

I wanted to do something a little different than I did during my Growing in Unity week at the beginning of August. Most of those cards (all but one, actually), were colored with Copic markers. I wanted to try to watercolor these big bold flowers so I broke out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I still need a lot of practice coloring with the Zigs, but I had a lot of fun trying! 

I added some touches of Glaze Gel pens but it's difficult to see in the photos.

When I was finished coloring the image I die cut the panel with a slimline framelit and mounted it on a black mat. I cut the word Beautiful from the Say It Big die set three times out of black cardstock and layered them together with liquid glue. I cut the shadow die out of vellum so the word would stand out, but the shadow wouldn't completely cover the flowers. 

I also added a white embossed on black sentiment strip, popped up with foam tape.

Rocking Christmas

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today I have another card for you featuring the new Rockin' Holiday stamps and dies. 

This set is versatile because it can be used for both holiday and non-holiday cards.

This time I made a Christmas card by adding a strip of Peace Love Joy paper behind the rocking horse. The green striped paper is the back side of the O' Christmas Tree paper. Both are from the Merry & Bright collection.

My sentiment strip is cut with a die from the Wavy Slimline framelits dies.

I stamped the ornaments from the stamp set to add a little interest to the inside of the card.

To finish off my card I popped the rocking horse up on an action wobble! So fun!

You Rock!

 Hi Artzy friends-

I can't believe September is here! The D2BA challenge this month is cards for babies, kids or teens. 

I think my card today would be appropriate for just about anyone who is young, or young at heart!

This cute rocking horse is from the new Rockin' Holiday stamp and die sets.

I love that this set can not only be used for holiday cards, but all year round, just because!

I created an easel card using the Wavy Square Framelits and Wavy Square Fun Fold die. 

These dies make it easy to create a fun card with a big impact!

The yellow patterned paper is from the Lemon Bliss collection.

BFF Birds

Hi Artzy friends -

I love how some of the new stamps and dies sets from Dare 2B Artzy coordinate so well together. I also love how, just by changing the sentiment, the images lend themselves to cards for so many occasions!

These birds are from the new Scandinavian Songbird and Joyful Robin sets.

My birds are sitting on a Slim Mini Flower Patch die background, and the light blue layer is cut from a die in the Slim Mini Wavy Layers set. The sentiment strip is from the Wavy Slimline Framelits die set.
