It's officially the holiday card making season!

My card today features images from two different Dare 2B Artzy stamp and die sets, Cabin Retreat  and Christmas Magic . These are just two of the sets in the holiday release that are loaded with festive images and sentiments,  perfect for all of your cards for the season!

I cut my collage frame from iridescent cardstock, and my patterned paper background is from the Holly Days 6x6 paper pack.

All of my images are colored with Copic markers and popped up with foam tape, and my sentiment is heat embossed in silver.

I hope this card puts you in the holiday card making spirit!

Sweet Fun Fold

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today I am sharing a card fold that I learned recently from Jennifer McGuire in an online class. I really like this fun fold and have made several since first learning it. I'm not certain what it's called but I'm guessing it's a version of a tri-fold/gate fold card.

It also happens to be time for the Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop organized by the Coffee Loving Papercrafters, and Dare 2B Artzy is one of the sponsors! I have used a cute Dare 2B Artzy coffee themed stamp and die set and I am linking up my card over there. I'm looking forward to taking the time to hop along and see all the wonderful inspiration!

This is what the front of the A2 card looks like when the recipient takes it out of the envelope.

The stamped and die cut images are from the Be Frappe stamp and dies sets.

I cut the cup and the Rectangle Fancy Framelit dies out of patterned papers from the Holly Days 6x6 paper pack.  I added my sentiment directly to the cup and I added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the icing on my donut and the plastic lid of my frappe cup. I also cut a red frame using 2 sizes of the Rectangle Fancy Framelits taped together.

My two half panels on the front were created by dry embossing with the Trellis Background die. I really love the resulting texture!

I attached the red frame to one side of my card and the inner rectangle to the other side, so that they "interlock."

Here you can see how the card looks as you're opening it. 

On the inside of my card I added a frame that coordinates with the front of the card and added more stamped donuts and a sweet sentiment. And of course there is plenty of space to write your own personal message to the recipient on the inside flaps of this card.

Magical Christmas

 Hi Artzy friends -

Some time ago I was playing with the Dare 2B Artzy Night Sky Hot Foil Plate after learning that you can hot foil onto heat resistant acetate. I just loved the result and was waiting for just the right opportunity to use it on a card. It doesn't look like much here...

The card I created uses one simple Christmas Tree image from the Christmas Magic stamps and die sets. 

The Wishing you a magical Christmas sentiment is from the Rockin' Holiday stamp set and I think it's a perfect sentiment for this card!

I created a a frame from silver mirror cardstock using the Rectangle Framelits dies and glued it over my acetate. I popped up the frame and acetate onto my card base, giving the illusion of a shaker card. No shaker bits were necessary though because the silver foiled stars give all the sparkle needed! For one more touch of silver shine I heat embossed my sentiment using silver embossing powder. 

I wish you could see this simple shiny card in person!

Impossible Christmas Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

My card today features new holiday stamps, dies, and papers from the Winter Escape collection.

I created my card with the Impossible Fold Die. While it may look "impossible" creating a card with this die set is super fun and easy, and I love that it includes so many useful extra layers! 

All of the images and sentiments used are from the Christmas Magic and Cabin Retreat stamps and dies sets. The patterned paper is from the Winter Escape collection.

I enjoyed coloring all of the little holiday images and adding a little sparkle here and there. I even experimented on the stocking with an old product in my stash called Sparkly Fluff!

Stamptember 2024 Collaboration

 Hi Artzy friends -

It's the day we've been waiting for all month long - the day our special collaboration with Simon Says Stamp becomes available for purchase!

I created 3 fall tags using the images and sentiments in this set, called Sunshine.

My shaped tags were created with either the Oval Framelit Dies or the Oval Scalloped Framelit Dies. The sentiments were stamped on a tag die included in the Mini Gift Tags Dies set.

Patterned Paper layers were cut from the Artzy Everyday Prints 6x6 Paper Pack .

Instagram Hop - Holiday 2024

 Hi Artzy friends -

Dare 2B Artzy is having an Instagram hop this weekend - please hop along and comment on our design teams' beautiful creations using our newest release of holiday stamps, dies, and papers!

My card was created with the new Cabin Retreat stamps and dies.

This set includes lots of wintry images and several holiday and seasonal greetings, for all of your winter time cards.

I used dies from the Oval Scalloped Framelit set to create a bold red frame for my scene. I also cut the same shape out of a pretty plaid paper from the new Winter Escape collection. I popped up the whole frame piece with some thin foam tape to my card base. 

I colored and die cut my images and then...went a little crazy with some glitter! I very rarely use glitter on my cards but when I do I go all out! Who can resist some extra sparkle and shine on their holiday snowy scene cards?!

I heat embossed my sentiment with gold embossing powder (because again - can you ever have too much shine?!) and die cut it with the coordinating die. 

I adhered all of my die cuts with a combination of foam tape and liquid glue. I think this will be a perfect card to send to my friends all season long!

Flower Wreath

Hi Artzy friends -

I'm still having fun coloring and creating cards with the beautiful Flower Wreath set. I love that these pretty little flowers can be colored in any color palette and can be used for any occasion.

I first cut out a circle frame using  Double Dot Circle Framelit dies, and glued a few of them together to create a sturdy dimensional wreath frame. I cut several of the curved leafy sprigs and adhered them to my wreath frame. This allowed me to create a perfectly round wreath.

I colored and die cut my flower swag and adhered it to my wreath shape as well. 

My sentiment is also from the Flower Wreath set and there are dies that cut out the sentiments in the set as well.

My leafy green background paper is from the Artzy Everyday Prints 6x6 paper pack.

I know I will be getting a lot of use out of this beautiful wreath all year around!

Birthday Wreath

 Hi Artzy friends -

The weather here has cooled down just a tad lately. I love the days when I can open all the windows in my house and turn off the a/c! 

In honor of the almost fall-like weather I decided to create a card with fall-like colors, although this stamp can be used year round for a wide variety of occasions!

The image is from the new Flower Wreath stamps and dies sets. I stamped my sentiment, from the Simply Birthday stamp set, using Versamark ink on vellum, and heat embossed it in gold.

The center background panel was created with the Leaf and Grunge Dots stencil and Simon Hurly Solar Paste, in the Royal Flush color.  The solar paste changes color depending on how you tilt it in the light - so cool! 

The side patterned paper panels are from the Artzy Everyday Prints 6x6 paper pack which is perfect for all of your fall card making!

Good Times

 Hi Artzy friends -

Nothing beats sitting around a campfire on a clear starry night with friends and family, roasting marshmallows, and making s'mores!

My card features the new Dare 2B Artzy Campfire Friends stamps and dies. It contains some great images and sentiments perfect for late summer/fall birthdays and other occasions.

My background was created with a hot foil plate titled Night Sky Hot Foil Plate in silver foil on navy cardstock.  I used a die from the Slimline Land & Clouds Border Dies to cut the grass for my campfire scene.

Enjoy the Ride

 Hi Artzy friends -

And just like that, it's August 1st! In the "good old days" kids where I grew up didn't have to go back to school until after Labor Day. But now it seems that kids go back earlier and earlier, and summer goes by way too quickly.

Temperatures, however, have been firmly planted in the 80's and 90's for much of the U.S.  So let's squeeze in every bit of summer fun while we can!

My card features a new Dare 2B Artzy set called Water Adventure, and it's full of fun summer images and sentiments, perfect for birthdays and other occasions.

Other Dare 2B Artzy products I used include clouds from the Curve Slimline dies  set, a stitched curvy  border from the Wavy Slimline Border dies, and an older Artzy paper.

I hope you take some time for adventure and to enjoy the ride as summer wanes!

Floral Birthdays

Hi Artzy friends -

I have two birthday cards to share with you today, using  florals from the Beautiful Inside stamp and die sets. While this set does contain a happy birthday sentiment, I chose to use the script one from the Beauty of Nature stamp and die sets, embossed in gold and silver.

On the first card I mounted my flower on vellum cut with an Oval Scalloped framelit die. My background is the Botanical Background die, cut from shiny gold foil cardstock.

The floral image on my 2nd card is mounted on vellum cut with a Double Dot Circle framelit. My background is the Quilted Flower background die cut from gray cardstock and backed with shiny silver foil cardstock. 

I'm always happy to be able to add to my stash of birthday cards quickly and easily, and beautifully!

Beautiful Wreath

Hi Artzy friends -

Today I have a clean and simple card that would appropriate for many occasions.

All of the stamps and dies used are from the Beautiful Inside stamp and die sets.

I love everything about this set - the lovely florals, (I'll be using more of them in a future post), the sentiments for so many occasions, and the dies that cut out the sentiments! This set will be getting a lot of use in my craft room!

BBQ Time!

Hi Artzy friends -

Summer is in full swing, and so is barbecue season! I don't know about you, but I'm happy to get out of the kitchen and let my husband take over some of the dinner prep on the grill! 

Today's card features a new set that started out as an Artzy Clubhouse set, but is now available to everyone! It's called BBQ Time and it's perfect for masculine cards, as well as invitations to your friends and family to enjoy a cookout with you!

Blooming Square Card

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today's card uses a variety of products from the newest Dare 2B Artzy release. I love combining elements from many sets on my projects!

I chose to make a square card, 5" x 5". Did you know that mailing a square card does not require additional postage as long as it's mailed in a standard size (not square) envelope (in this case 5" x 7"?) 

My card base and my periwinkle layer were cut with my trimmer and I used a corner rounder to clip the corners so it would match my patterned paper layer, from the Countryside Floral collection, which I cut using the largest die in the Square Framelit dies set. I cut a variety of stitched shapes using dies from the Horizontal Step dies set.

My die cut leaf element was cut with the leafy die from the Nature Layer Dies set. I cut it from white cardstock and ink blended it in green and splattered it with white paint. I cut and layered the die a few times to build up some dimension. 

I stamped, colored and die cut the flower and leaf images with stamps from Beauty of Nature and Singin' in the Rain. My sentiment is from Wildflower Garden.

I find that I can get much more use out of my stamps and dies when I combine them together, especially if they're from the same collection!

Artzy Clubhouse - May 2024

Hi Artzy friends -

The May Artzy Clubhouse set is here and it's perfect for creating cards for the men in your life!

The set is called BBQ Time and it's filled with images and sentiments appropriate for Father's Day, birthdays, and other occasions.

I created a Father's Day card using the new Horizontal Center Step card dies, and papers from the Feelin' Groovy  collection and the Countryside Floral collection.

I used a fun sentiment from the set to decorate them inside of my card.

Wildflower Slimline

 Hi Artzy friends -

Spring weather is finally here to stay, and I'm enjoying watching everything in my yard bloom. I'm already behind in planting my pots!

I colored this wildflower image from the Wildflower Garden stamp set a few weeks ago. I actually stamped it twice to get a full slimline sized panel. I really enjoyed coloring all of these pretty flowers with Prismacolor  colored pencils. 

 

Other Dare 2B Artzy products used to create this card are the Slimline Land & Clouds Border dies as well as a sentiment banner die in the appropriate size for my sentiment, and the largest die from the Wavy Slimline Framelit dies 

I hope flower season is here to stay for a while!

Butterfly Kisses

Happy May! I hope by now May flowers are in full bloom where you are!

My card today features the Beauty of Nature stamps and dies from the latest Dare 2B Artzy release. This set is full of beautiful spring and summer images, as well some lovely sentiments.

I created a frame with the Oval Framelits dies and inserted an oval cut from vellum to mount my focal image on. I wanted to use this pretty floral paper from the Countryside Florals collection but wanted to soften it a bit behind my watering can. 

I really like how this card turned out and I think it would be great for Mother's Day! Flowers and butterflies make every card special!

Fun Fold Birthday

 Hi Artzy friends -

Today I pulled out some old favorite dies to create this cute fun fold card . This card is made with the Rectangle Fancy Framelit dies along with the Rectangle Fun Fold die. 

The rectangle framelits are a great basic that can be used on just about any card. I love that the addition of a single die turns my card into a really cool fun fold!

My images and sentiments are from the Beauty of Nature and Singin' in the Rain stamps and dies sets, both of which are in the newest Dare 2B Artzy release. The beautiful patterned papers are from the Countryside Floral collection and are perfect for spring and summer cards!

Singin' in the Rain

It's April! And you know what that means! We've got lots of April showers in the forecast here in Ohio. Hoping that they really do bring May flowers...and warmer days!

My card today was created with the new Dare 2B Artzy Singin' in the Rain stamps and dies. I created a Horizontal Center Step card with a die set that will be available in the next couple of weeks. 

I love the beautiful papers in the Countryside Floral collection and will be using them on all of my spring cards!

Spring is in the Air!

The calendar says it's officially spring! We can only hope that the weather follows suit!

This cute bunny, from the Honey Bunny stamp and die sets is perfect for so many spring and summer cards. I created this shaker card to wish you a happy spring!

I ink blended the Botanical Background die cut and sandwiched it between two pieces of acetate to create a shaker window. I created a frame with the Rectangle Framelits dies and added my bunny, along with my sentiment from the Singin in the Rain stamps and dies and butterfly from the Beauty of Nature stamps and dies.

Easter Chick

Hi Artzy friends -

Can you believe that Easter is at the end of this month?!

I love that this sweet chick from the Spring Chicken stamp and die sets can be used for Easter greetings, but also Mother's Day, get well, birthdays, or just because cards!

I created this interactive card with the Pop Up Feature die set.

You just pull up on the string to reveal the messages inside, and the chick "stands up."

You can also attach the whole card element to the front of an A2 card base if you want lots of additional space for a handwritten note.

Coffee Date With Kathy

 I'm thrilled and honored to be Kathy Schweinfurth's coffee date today on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!

When Kathy asked me to create a card featuring coffee, tea, or cocoa, I thought, "Why not all three?!"
